For many years, the company La Meccanica  and PSI (Pellet Service International) owned by the technical engineer Richard Schultz, pooled their ideas to create increasingly developed machines for animal feed production.

Successes such as “the largest press in the world” or “the first quick-change device for dies” are just two examples of the important innovations achieved by the two companies.
The first advanced pellet mills were built in two versions: one usual with screw locked die and the Rapid block type, equipped with a quick locking device for the die.
This brand-new device was patented and allows to change the supply chain in five minutes.
Improvements in details are the result of a long study in the field of pellet presses and this is what represents the machine's own value.

La Meccanica built initially 4 models CLM 630 N, CLM 630 SL, CLM 800, CLM 935 called by the numbers of the dimension of its internal die, with capacity from 220 to 500 kW. All the models have been built in vertical and horizontal based on the position of the engine.

The CLM advantages are:

- high production capacity

- operating economy resulting from the particular type of supply chains we produce

- safety devices arranged in several points of the machine

- large doors for  inspection and cleaning of various elements

- robust and accurate construction

- automatic lubrification

- electronic power supply
