Cubing plants for fertilizers and composted materials

In order to assess whether it is possible to cube and then to dry and cool the composted organic fertilizer, several factors must be taken into consideration.

In order to assess whether it is possible to cube and then to dry and cool the composted organic fertilizer, we must collect the following information:

  • Origin of poultry manure if directly from the farm or from a composting process.
  • Type of breeding if laying eggs in cages, ventilated or not, or if from chickens to the ground.
  • The humidity of the pollen to be diced.
  • Type of composting, if any, used and duration of the process itself.

There are two cases:

  • litter manure with sawdust: it is possible not to make the fermentation since being mixed with the sawdust, being mainly on the ground for a month or more, it is continuously moved and therefore practically the fermentation takes place in this phase allowing to drop in humidity but above all decreases the nitrogen content (component that causes strong odors);
  • hen manure: it is mandatory to make the fermentation as it is purely organic and does not undergo the slightest movement.
