Organic and Organomineral Fertilizers
Brief guideline for the production of Organic and Organomineral pellets from animal manure.
To produce organic fertilizers pellets, there is a process that has to be followed, in order to have a good quality product.
First, we have to make a distinction between 100% organic fertilizers and NPK Organomineral fertilizers.
• 100% Organic Fertilizer: is the fertilizer produced with only organic product that can be chicken manure, swine manure and so on. Sometimes to this kind of fertilizers is possible to add some organic additive as horn-hoof mixture or similar coming from animal waste.
• NPK Organomineral Fertilizer: is the fertilizer produced by adding some mineral components to the organic matter, usually Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (NPK). The percentage of minerals to be added, depend on customer’s formula and the type of fertilizer that he wants to produce.
About the process, we can summarize the production in Composting, Screening, Dehydration, Mineral and Organic addition with mixing, Pelleting, Cooling, Sifting and Packing.
