Vibrating sifters are used to remove grit and fine particles from the pellet flow. These are very compact machines, particularly efficient for cleaning pellets or for classifying flours.

The material enters on the feeder plate and cascades vertically through the sizer. Particles bounce along or fall through the screen docks according to size. Each screen deck makes a progressively smaller separation. Two counter-rotating vibrators produce a high-frequency linear vibration that spreads the falling material and prevents accumulation on any of the mashes.

La Meccanica’s vibrating sifters are available in a single-deck and a double and triple deck version and are driven by two special vibration motor, which ensures virtually vibration-free operation. They’re positioned below the body of the sieve giving easy access to the counterbalances. The single-deck version has two outlets (one for pellets, the other for fines), instead the double-deck one has three outlets (coarse material, pellets and fines).

The sieve frame is suspended in a frame made up of hollow sections by means of laminated springs and the sieve inlet has a flexible connection to the screen area.
All product in the inlet of the sieve comes leveled on all the width material is evenly distributed across the screens by means of a static distributor adjustable from the exterior. Screens, constructed in stainless steel are easy to change from the back of the machine and are tensioned by means of independent and adjustable springs and attached to two intermediate supports optimizing screen tension. The cover is secured with quick-release fasteners for simple screen changes.

The robust casing is constructed in 3 mm mild steel with lateral reinforcement and sifter is mounted on 8 “soft” springs ensuring all dynamic vibration is transferred to the sieving action.

Pellet capacity varies from 5 to 30 T/h and the crumbled capacity from 4 to 20 T/h depending on the model.
