Energy from wood and biomass is a sector that develops more each day. The continuous technological innovation of the sector has allowed, with the use of new generation plants to replace the old ones, to avoid last year the emission into the atmosphere of about 2,200 tons per year of particulate matter (PM) and about 160 thousand tons per year of CO2 equivalent.
The challenge for the future is to achieve a reduction of at least 70% in particulate matter emissions deriving from the domestic combustion of biomass.
With this focus, for over 60 years, La Meccanica designs and manufactures machinery and plans for the production of wood and biomass pellets.
